...was in 1984. I was working at a typesetting place called U.S. Lithograph. There was a dude working there named Hollie Farris, who used to play trumpet for the Godfather(one of the few white dudes in the band at the time). According Hollie, JB still owed him $800.00. He learned that JB was scheduled to play at the Lone Star Cafe which is located south of 14th street. He asked me if I wanted to tag along since he knew how I felt about JB. I responded "HELL YEAH!!!". That night we were able to get backstage and meet JB. Needless to say I was speechless. I can't even remember what he said or what I said. All I can tell you is that JB made it sound as if Hollie owed him $800.00. The only word that would describe that whole night is...priceless.
