One of my favorite stories was from Pete Katsis who managed Limp Bizkit and before that the Metro in Chicago. He had booked James Brown and had paid the agent half the money..I forget the amount but lets say 15 thousand for a 30 thousand gig. Well anyway right before James was supposed to go onstage...Mr Brown asked for the promoter...and they found Pete...he was like the manager not the promoter...so James said I need all my money the whole 30 thousand before I go on. Pete said hey i sent your agent 15 k up front...James said no I did not get it...Give me the whole 30k or i am not going on.... he had to come up with it for james..and the show went on
