Sensory integration and Down Syndrome

Hi!
I am a school based OT and am looking for information about the effectiveness of using Sensory Integration therapy for children with Down Syndrome. I have heard that it doesn't necessarily work due to the nature of Down Syndrome, but need some research to prove this (or disprove it!) at a team meeting.
