The Sac Comedy Spot will be host to the “First Annual Red Ribbon Comedy Event” July 8th 2006. The event will be held at the Clarion Hotel, 2600 Auburn Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95821 (Corner of Auburn Blvd and Fulton Ave). The tickets for this event will be $10.00, and all ticket proceeds will benefit the 20th Annual Aids Walk San Francisco. The event will be headlined by The Free Hooch Comedy Troop, Sacramento’s funniest, most creative and longest running sketch and improv comedy group.
The Free Hooch Comedy Troop promises an evening of side splitting laughter and fun, featuring cutting edge content and fast paced delivery. The fully charged cast will have you laughing out loud as they create improv magic and perform their hilarious comedy sketches.
Of the upcoming event, Erika Zlatkoff, Aids Walk San Francisco Event Director states; “AIDS Walk San Francisco is thrilled that the Free Hooch Comedy Troop is using their talent to support our event. The Free Hooch Comedy Troupe debuted on May 24, 2001 at Perko's Cafe and Lounge on Richards Blvd. The Sacramento Comedy Spot Spring 2006 Season Finale show, May 5, 2006, marked the end of the fifth year The Free Hooch Comedy Troupe has performed for sold out houses in Sacramento, CA. The Free Hooch Comedy Troupe has performed over 100 shows in the last five years and created over 1000 original sketches. Several Free Hooch cast members have moved on to perform with well know sketch comedy and improv groups including The Second City, The Groundlings, ImprovOlympic, and Upright Citizens Brigade.
