Like Ellis Lake in Marysville, Lake Minden is a man-made lake
There's even a small laundromat
It's not at all a "roughing it" type of campout
It's a private campground that is maintained beautifully.
However, as with any place outdoors, there are wildlife animals and critters nearby, but nothing scary
- No campfires allowed. However, there are plenty of BBQ grills built into the ground to use.
- Bring your own food and beverages. If you bring alcohol, bring and id so that we can verify your age.
- Unless you plan ahead to share a tent, bring your own tent, camping supplies, sunscreen, water, etc…
- You may want to bring extra cash for the recreation activities available such as paddle boats, kayaking, fishing.
- There is one store and hamburger stand about 1 mile away from the campground and both close in the evening
- No gas station around for about 15 to ten miles. Have plenty of fuel in your vehicle.
-Fishing is available even if you do not have a CA license/permit. Whether or not you have a CA license/permit, if you wish to fish, you still must pay for a $5 fishing permit
-Free shower access
- Free miniature golf
- Free driving range golf
- Free barn animals to visit (Sunday)
- Free use of sports courts and equipment for basketball, soccer, volleyball and more
- Free access to adult lodge and family lodge
- Free wi-fi access (available in certain areas)
