: The Sacramento Women's Chorus will be
: presenting our annual spring concert next
: Friday, April 24th at 7:30pm.
:
: The location we've rented for the event is
: the First Christian Church at 3901 Folsom
: Blvd, Sacramento.
:
: This year's theme is "Spring into
: Song" and we will be presenting
: various types of music which represent the
: different aspects of our mission statement.
:
: One of our guest performers, Irina Rivkin ,
: is an Outmusic Awards Recipient, top-10
: winner in the Indiegrrl Songwriting Contest,
: & founder of Rose Street House of Music,
: her compelling, powerful songs blend
: elements of folk & world music, with an
: all-original sound influenced by her Russian
: heritage. Irina layers her poetic lyrics
: with rich textured harmonies, swirling with
: vocal percussive beats, all created live,
: on-the-spot, using her loop station
: instrument.
:
: Our other guest performer, Courtney Parks
: was born in a trunk at the Princess Theatre
: in Polkatella, Idaho. She was reared in
: Rangoon and
: is not currently a member of The Actors
: Studio.
: Actually, Courtney was raised in Anchorage,
: Alaska, where she fell in love with Barbra
: Streisand, Bette Midler and Musical Theatre.
: She has played Dolly Levi in “Hello,
: Dolly!", Julie Jordan in
: “Carousel", Sarah Brown in “Guys and
: Dolls” and Claire in “Personals".
: She has directed shows including Noises Off,
: A Steetcar Named Desire, Sappho In Love and

: now dedicated to the production company she
: started with her wife, Friends of Dorothy
: Productions. They are getting ready to
