Nights in the tunnel

Starting in 1946 I often worked nights in the subway tunnel as a signalman for the PE. I would walk the tunel to the enterance and back inspecting the signal lights and the automatic train stop.

I would spend several hours talking with the Towerman at the stion end of the subway. During the daylite hours I would ride the trains to Glendale, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.
