I work for a construction company that was working at the terminal building. I just heard a story from someone who worked there, which interested me and made do some research (and happen upon this website). From what I was told, the basement and a couple of floors were turned into a Veteran's hospital. The work they did in the 60's to convert it to a hospital did alot of damage to the beauty of the building. (pillars stripped down, concrete poured over the marble floors, etc.
