Over the years my symptoms have changed as I have adapted to my body adapting to my Klonopin. I have had a slight strangalization feeling when I had a drugged induced anxiety attack when I tried Lexapro. Did you mean that you were on .5 mg of Klonopin or 5 mg of Klonopin. I have taken Klonopin since 1994 and it has worked great. I curently take .5 to .75 mg a day. Most salespersons have to be experienceing some sort of anxiety in view of the current state of the economy. I personally would never go to a support group either, but I read message boards like this to learn about new meds or a possible cure. I would tell your current doctor that you are still experiencing attacks on your current dosage and see what he/she says. The fact that you feel better by a hospital means that you already can lower your anxiety level mentally. Cognitive therapy (8 weeks)will teach you what is going on and to learn breathing and neuromusclar relaxation techniques that will give you the tools to stop an attack in its tracks anywhere. Self hypnosis has been very helpful at times to bring my anxiety down to a manageable level. I am looking to buy a house right now and one of the factors is how far away is the nearest hospital.
You will make it - we all do!!!
