Yep, I've felt like this before. In fact, I would have these crazy ideas that I was definitely going to go insane went night fell. I would watch out the window as it got darker and darker thinking, this is it. this is when I lose my mind. I even has this crazy idea that if I really started to lose it, I could at least jump on a plane and fly to a place where it was daylight. I have no idea why I thought that, considering I was terrified of flying and I could never afford last minute air fare, But this was my OUT. And this is a typical bandaid approach to panic attacks. It works for a while, but they keep coming back. My advice, join a group. Like HOPE if you're in the chicago area. But therapy helps you learn tools to help you deal with the attack, before, during and after. You are not going crazy, you are not going to die. Relax, take deep breaths and tell yourself over and over and over it's only a panic attack, it's not going to hurt you. It takes a lot of work, but you will recover.
