I've gotten panic attacks before where I start to feel a tingling in my hands. It then starts to go up my arms and sometimes it gets to the point that my hands have spasmed to that I can't even move them. I have heard that this is the result of too much oxygen (which is when you should breathe through a paper bag in order to calm down). My question is, can this tingling/spasm thing ever reach the chest/respiratory muscles? I have now have this fear of getting a panic attack and having the feeling go up my arms all the way to my chest muscles so that I can't breathe. Is such a thing possible? Maybe a silly question, I have no idea. Thanks.
