I've had panic attacks for over four years now and Im only 24. I was convinced I had asthma, a lung disorder or something terrible but the doctors kept sending me away with a paper bag! Funny on one hand, really not on the other. Its hard to talk to my partner as although he tries to understand, he doesn't and can get frustrated. My attacks have affected both our lives and has started to affect our relationship.
However, through his support, and my decision that I will not give in to these attacks, I have started to look for more support than the medicine that the doctors are far too willing to offer. I am going to try Yoga (not the moving kind as I am less than bendy!)as that is said to be very good, especially as my attacks seem to center on whether I can breathe or not. Any other suggestions would be appreciated, otherwise my love to anyone going through this and please feel free to email me if anyone wants to talk about it.
