I've been through the same. I still have those days on occassion even though I'm on medication (Paxil). There was a time when I didn't want to leave the house, but I know now it would have disabled me completely if I continued to stay home. You have to continue to put yourself out there (at your own pace) and before you know it you'll have less anxiety in those certain situations - it's not easy. For me it was easier trying by myself than driving with someone else. To this day I have less anxiety if I drive than if my husband drives because I feel in control of turning the car around if I feel panicky and need to go back home (which I have many times). My husband is very understanding and supportive, but I still need to feel in control in certain situations. You must have supportive friends and family, its hard to manage anxiety if you don't.
You are not alone - I pray right now that you gain strength to confront this and another other situations that evoke anxiety.
