I too have recently set up an events planning business specilising in childrens parties in the Bristol area.
leaflet drop included with local free paper - saves you walking miles
Posters in all local schools, nurseries, afterschool clubs etc
Nursery / school summer fayres
Posters in all major company employers inthe Bristol area. These have been posted by my network of professional friends who work just about everywhre in Bristol. These friends have been a great help.
I am also making contact with many local suppliers and arranging to to swop leaflets to put in each others brochures.
And of course if you can volunteer your services at some local event which is worth some press coverage - you can get your name in print.
I would love to know how you get on.
By the way have you enrolled on the Institute of event planners diploma course - or are you already qualified. I am finding it very useful.
