The BIG Ohio show goes through Sunday. I hope lots of you will be able to attend, but for those stuck at home awaiting show reports, we have the Pentrace Sunday Forum — the next best thing to a pen show. Good morning everyone. Here are this week’s topics:
1. SOLDIERS’ PENS, MILITARY PENS AND EPHEMERA
Whether you call it Veterans Day or Remembrance Day or Armistice Day, most of us around the world pause on November 11th to commemorate those who served, and those currently serving, in the military. This is a day of remembrance and honor. With this date just around the corner, it seems appropriate to look at the pens used by soldiers, or pens commemorating service in the military. This could be a pen you used in the service, or one a relative used, or maybe you have a collection with military clips, or a pen that was commonly used during the First World War. Show and Tell, please! Let’s include interesting items such as pellet inks, V-mail and ephemera as well.
2. PENS WITH INK VIEW WINDOWS – suggested by Paul Bloch
Let’s see your pens that show how your ink supply is holding up — pens with partial visibility to the ink supply.
My e-mail is at the top of this post, so please keep the GREAT requests and suggestions coming.
See you tomorrow!!
