My vacuum-fill pens have partial visibility of the ink supply through the celluloid pattern. It's a useful feature. I do have
to hold them up to the light to see how the ink supply is holding up. 
Okay, my Lamy Safari has a little window, but for the life of me I can never tell how much ink is in there by looking through it.
