Hi Viv. I actually still have a letter you sent with a pen I bought from you with a nib you ground. (Genius pen with steel nib you ground to M/F CI. The nib is now in a Dani Trio Cum Laude). It is from the period you mention above. I remember laughing when I opened the letter and thinking you actually used a paintbrush. And then I thought it was such an extravagance, using so much ink and writing so large. I also remember being slightly outraged for the same reason, but then I realised how it was an expression of the joy of simply laying down ink and using a writing instrument. The idea that a nib should feel natural to a pen-I never thought of it in this way, but it makes perfect sense. I feel that way about some pens. That was why I sold Moore pen after I broke the original nib. The replacement never felt right in the pen, like having a bad false tooth.
