These are lovely pens, made even lovelier by Jim Mamoulides incredible photography.
But there is no possible justification for the price. Sure, there are a lot of people with way too much money to burn who will impulsively shell out the big bucks for this "pretty" pen. But, the fundamentals which would command this kind of money for a fine pen just aren't there. I guess one could take the position that if someone will buy it, then the price was right. I cannot disagree with that "market price" driven line of thinking.
But, if a true pen connoisseur is going to put that kind of money into a fine pen (or pens), just think what he or she could acquire!
