Buyers have budgets and a choice from a very wide range of fountain pens.
There are standard production products from pen makers that create
excellent writing pens and of course, there are those that may prefer more luxury products in precious metals and hand made decorations.
Classic Pens has been very successful in their entire price range from modest to expensive since 1970. Guilloche pattern engravings on vintage equipment and custom relief sterling overlays that are unmatched has been used on their CP series.
Limited editions as low as 20 units using custom produced resins and custom silver work is priced accordingly. Many others such as Montblanc, Montegrappa, Pelikan, Visconti, David Oscarson to name a few are priced as much or more than Classic Pens. These high end custom pen editions would not be on the market if the demand was not there. We have seen some outrageous Limited Edition pens encrusted with diamonds and precious jewels priced at $50,000. and more. For these buyers....and "market price" is a very narrow margin.
Such is the mindset for some, the demand is there and of course, there are those with depth of pocket for something special.
Again, Andy Lambrou has defined a market, an exceptional method of design and high quality production. Over almost 50 years he has given buyers a choice of some outstanding products.
