I know Pentrace doesn't get in on the more trendy things happening, but in the midst of the Ohio Pen Show there is also today, which happens to have become Fountain Pen Day 2017! Only a couple years old, it may not be my thing but a lot of people enjoy it, and there are a lot of vendors who are giving nice discounts to grow the interest in fountain pens - that's a good thing!
Anyway, here's a pic of my latest (and modest) restoration, a cute 1926 (or so) Duofold Jr. The original one came in a lot with a wonky replacement nib and far too many bite marks. Patience until another showed up with massive chips on the cap lip, so between the two I ended up with a handsome example. Yeah, I know there are a zillion of these, but it is awfully fun to have a 90 year old pen that is perfect for the pocket and writes like a joy. Have a great day!
