A good-looking Ingersoll twist-filler in orange resin. Someone (not I) in the past had bored a hole in the middle of the barrel and installed a j-bar so today I can use something pointy to fill the ink-sac -- which I did install a new one -- with ink.
And the nib is not bad, a Mabie Todd with ample flexability.
I saw these thread-spinners once in a while in antique shops or Estate Sales, and I like the look of it, so here is a sloppy-sketch of one.
Interestingly, I posted this photo on reddit.com and one person responded that he/she uses one of these spinners as a hobby and that he/she can shear an Alpaca, and process the fibers all the way into a sweater. What a fascinating hobby!
