This is an Empex squeeze filler fountain pen black c. 1962-1963. Empex, who also sold the later version of the Aqua Pen, was a Rohill Company brand name. This pen is similar looking to the Aqua Pen but uses a rubber ink sac squeeze filler without a breather tube. The metal filler unit has PRESS stamped on the squeeze bar. The cap, washer clip and barrel trim ring are lightly gold plated. The clip has EMPEX and USA stamped. The cap has fine ribbed engraving and a wide blank cap band. Known examples of these 5 inch long pens came with barrel colors in green, black, red, maroon, blue, and grey. The nib is gold plated stainless steel and the trim is gold plated.
