Richard, once you get the grip section unscrewed from the barrel you should be able to get the piston out from the front end of the barrel. Use dry heat for easy unscrewing.
Once thats done the turning knob can be take off from the back. At that point you should be able to use a flat head screw driver of appropriate size to unscrew the slotted collar. Dry heat highly recommended for this last step.
