Had a nice meeting today. I saw a large assortment of modern and vintage pens that will be in the 2023 Chicago Pen Show auction. A few of the members had some extraordinary attractive vintage overlays such as this c1925 Sheaffer GF 23HC with #2 nib
assortment of modern pens and sets for the auction.
One of our members Jack Lynch, aged 94 years young, is incredibly talented making aluminum button fillers for 51's, custom pens in acrylics and hard rubber. Here is a recent smooth hard rubber pen which he turns on a lathe, quite nice. I asked him if he has a lathe for the chasing. He said...."No, the only one I have is the one that chases me around the kitchen!" What a character The pen will have an end cap that unscrews and will use a button filler.
Also a nice JParker ballpoint assortment and a Jotter collection, including a custom shop prototype sample in stainless steel.
