Craftsmanship is at the core of my appreciation for the things like pens. That's probably why the majority of my collection is vintage - I know (and can sometimes see) the human touch in the creation of the object. A modern manufactured object may have higher precision, exotic materials, and benefit from highly repeatable automation - but will also lack that special human ingredient. It's why I bought several Ranga pens a few years ago - I saw them being made on a hand lathe and had to have a few if only to support the effort. Thanks for this video. I didn't realize YOL still made their pens & pencils by hand. I'm off to search the YOL website.
