There are always some dealers that will overprice knowing there are "newbie" or inexperienced buyers not aware of real value. Unfortunately I see this often. Not everyone is stupid...a certain percent of viewers, even if only a few per month, will certainly make that sellers day. Like any other business or hobby, you have to be educated to not only values but the very fine details about fountain pens. For example, what pens, vintage or modern are the most likely to have certain inherent problems. Bad feeds, cracked nibs underneath the shell, degradation of celluloid. So...it's buyer beware and know your business. Don't be surprised when you see sellers like this, they are all over the place.
