This isn’t about cleaning your pens. It’s about cleaning up after a disastrous ink spill, such as the one I experienced today. I picked up a jar of Diamine “Electric D.C. Blue” ink by the twist-on plastic cap, which I hadn’t realized was cracked. It came off in my hand and the jar fell, spilling ink all over my old, ergo absorbent, hardwood floor. I rushed to sop up as much of it as I could with paper towels. Fearing I’d have to replace some floorboards, I contacted a friend who runs a flooring business with that in mind. He advised me to use hand sanitizer and absorbent white cotton cloths to clean it right up. Sure enough, in minutes, the huge, hideous blue stain was gone and my floors were fine. Stash that away in case of a future need I hope you’ll never have
