As a breeder, I can tell you that Chihuahua puppies get into everything. My Muffin ate my diamond earings off of my end table one night. She was only 2 months old and I was totally freaked. The vet recommended that we wait it out and press on her tummy every hour. If she whelps in pain, we were supposed to bring her in. Otherwise, we trailed behind her in the yard to check that she passed them, which she did without any problem. (HINT: sandwich bags over your hands help you to squeeze through the poop to check for the earrings passing.) Hope this helps.
