i smoke captain black-original, St. Bruno an english tobacco blend, also Erinmore-mixture to name a few, i live in the UK, if you can get these tobacco's in your local tobbacanist's give them a try. Try buying loose pipe tobacco it's a good and inexpensive way of trying different baccy's as you can buy small amounts. Good luck, stick with the pipe it is better than cigarettes, i'm a former cigarette smoker, i don't regret taking up the pipe at all. All my friends accept and like my pipes a couple smoke a pipe, but only one, like me smokes in public. Keep safe post soon. Thanks J for information on that pipe group you mentioned, i will visit soon, i'm new to the internet.
