Can the Examiner even be called "semi-reputable" anymore? It has carved out its own special category of awful. I don't know what the publisher's purpose was in buying the thing and putting it out in its current form, but it can't have been journalism. Yet I see otherwise sane-seeming people reading it all the time. Free is free, I guess.
That story is credited to an Associated Press reporter, by the way, which makes the whole thing even harder to understand.
