I recall Planet Soma from a few years back, and really liked the urban affairs thing going on here (road trips and observations on different citys and states, not particularly the San Fran thing, tho the info on SOMA was interesting too)...and also the pop culture stuff on roadside culture, food, etc...
Looks like "Yer Humble Host" has gone through some changes! Quitting smoking, medical issues, finding a partner and getting married! (way to go, man!...Congratulations!)
And now a move to....Charlotte? Woah!
I've seen pix of Charlotte on other sites and am impressed! Nice city, and they even have a light-rail line now, too (more than we can say down here in southwest Ohio..Cincinnati tried to get one but the voters defeaed it).
Anyway, Happy New Year and best wishes to you both in your move to Carolina. And keep up the excellent work at your family of online places.
