Because it's mostly a show being conducted to distract the herded sheep from the real issues. If folks are talking about Schavio's feeding tube, then chances are they're NOT talking about Monkey Boy's mess in Iraq, the failure to capture Osama, the holes in the social-security "reform" plan, (insert more important issue of choice here).
