From what I've learned, you can make them shift by causing a reaction that the "reptile" in them will react to. For example, I was in the video store the other day, and I went to school with the lady behind the counter. We got into a conversation about "b" horror movies, and I heard something behind me, and when I turned around and looked, I seen a lady that apparently had been there for a while, and when the lady behind the counter mentioned blood and gore, wich was the moment I had turned around and looked, I seen it in her eyes.
The trick to a shapeshift is to give them something to react to. This might not help much, but it is better than nothing.
They also hate, and I mean HATE it when you do something nice for a loved one. Give your mother a hug, etc. They don't like it when you do something nice for another human.
Like I said, this is about all I know.
