you have got to be kidding me. he actually admitted ? straight faced ? i mean, wow ...
If he vanished after, then maybe his "job" was done and since there are very very few who are willing to believe in such things, he (or should i say "it" ?) figured that YOU, knowing ... won't represent much of a threat.
Either way, how did u figure it out ?
I've heard some people, remnants of perhaps previous cross-breeding visits, can sense "one of their own"
Personally i don't think they're demons or whatever. Either remnants of a colonization expedition checking out how their effort went or scouting party for, who knows what purpose. Since they seem to have infiltrated high levels of governments across the globe, i'm thinking they're planning a "show & tell" and their positions will allow to quell the masses.
