This woman who works with me in a large office appeared to be out of cigarettes as she came outside for a break. She asked and I gave her one. It turns out she had told others she had quit the night before and asked tnem not to give her a cigarette.
I later found that I provided relief after more than 12 hours of abstaining. At first I felt bad although she told me the time was not right to quit when she returned a cigarette a couple of days later.
