Posted by Jay on 1/3/2006, 11:35 pm A few days ago, while out having diner with her & her father she bumped into a former co-worker who asked her to call him some-time to catch-up. She did not introduce this guy even as she stood talking with him for a few minutes. Today she tells me that her & I won't be able to see each other on Friday because she's hanging out with this guy, and further, when I get off of work on Saturday morning I won't be able to go to her appartment & sleep in with her (our normal routine) because this guy will most likely get drunk the night before & will be sleeping at her place. She says he will not be sleeping with her, and also says he's gay. I very much try not to be the jeallous type and encourage anyone I date to have friends outside the relationship. But I'm having a real hard time getting past the "drunk guy-friend sleeping at her place & she doesn't want me around" part. I have not said anything to her about my feelings on the matter. Please give me some perspective / thoughts / suggestions?
My GF & I are both in our later 20s. We've been seeing each other for about 6 months & everything has been going well.
