hey marcia,
i have a friend who was in the same situation as your bf but he never talked about his ex-wife. he stayed in the relationship for the kids sake as long as he could but the romance between them was over long before that. my friend rarely talks about his ex, just the thought of his ex gets him upset for that fact he feels like he rotted away during their marriage. he says, the only wonderful thing that came out of the marriage was his children. i am not sure what your bf is thinking or if he is telling you the truth, but from my own expeerience, when a person still wants to be with a person and can't be with that person, they show anger and animosity towards them...apparently, your bf still has feelings for his ex and the fact she got over him faster and now getting married already, might be making your bf even more upset. maybe he needs time to get over his ex and really accept that she is gone. putting the burden on you is not right and he should kno better than to bring up his ex in front of you, especially when you guys are having a moment alone.
