I think what he needs right now is just someone to talk to him and be his closest friend. I would just try to get him out of the house and like..."go out on dates" but dont make them too "formal" like have lunch or invite him over for a movie...and just be his friend. and you'll know when the right time will come along and suddenly he'll realize..."wow shes really helped me through this..."
