Hey, David,
As we've mentioned before, the death wasn't done for sensationalistic reasons...it sprang out of my desire to shake things up for the girls (the best I can equate it to is Jen turning into Rad in the '80s). Also, I felt that Star's being perhaps the most self-sacrificing of all the characters would give her death even more meaning...
Perhaps Star's as dead as Bucky..err...wait, no, the second Robin...scratch that.
Well, she's dead for now!
What happens from here on is up to the SS AC, with Bill and Mark at the helm, naturally.
Bestest, Chris

: Hah. I've seen it so often in films &
: comics. No body = character isn't dead!
:
: Mind you, I'm more inclined to believe it
: coming from AC.
:
: I must say that I don't like the way comics
: are going. There is far too much killing
: going on in Marvel and DC. They've forgotten
: that comics are actually intended for
: children.
:
: When I was a lad, things were different, and
: circulations were a lot higher than now.
:
: I hope AC comics can keep comics
: entertaining without following the modern
: trends.

: Not seen the last of Star?
:
: Actually, my plan was that her body was
: disintegrated in the blast.
:
: Seriously.

: Hmmm. No body, and I suspect we've not seen
: the last of Stardust.
:
: For now, FF has a vacancy. I vote for Yankee
: Girl becoming a member. Her reluctance and
: lack of confidence would be a good contrast
: to the all-powerful, all confident other
: heroines.
