I'd like to make a couple of comments regarding FF143– I notice that the FF part of the story is made up of 4 separate short stories with 3 different writers all fit nicely into the current story arc. Plus they lined up well with one another– rather than being a series of separate adventures. And all of the writers demonstrated that they understood the nature and the temperament of all the characters via the dialogue and actions of each character. That was very satisfying and much appreciated.
Regarding the current “Death of Stardust” story arc– I understand that Marvels “Death of Captain America” story has attracted a lot of comment and that many say it’s the benchmark for presenting the death of a major character– but I must respectfully disagree.
To my mind AC comics has done a much better job of handling the situation. Their story shows– though life goes on– the pain and confusion and guilt that those who are left behind feel when someone close to them passes on.
One of the things that I have always liked about FF comics is that they tell stories about individuals who act and react in a realistic and human action to all fantastic (and mundane) situations that the stories put them in. Plus, the stories are very well done and very entertaining and engaging with plenty of action.
I am really pleased that this is present in the current story line.
