37 year-old (in 2014) guy from Paris (France). Have been for a long time an avid reader of this board (and the neighbouring boards too).
Curious about history, jewellery, royalty... and historical royal jewellery! I am not a specialist in any of these fields, but I have read quite a lot, and can probably be described as an educated amateur... I will be happy to bring some information and/or pics on this board (on which I have already learnt a lot!).
As a French lover of jewellery and royalty, the disastrous auction of the French Crown Jewels in 1887 is still a blow in my heart. So, if you are VERY rich and know where these jewels are now, do not hesitate to buy them and to present them back to the Louvre Museum in Paris... you will make my day! ;-)
