Marianne posted these photo's 'next door' and I noticed something in the first photograph I thought rather interesting. The necklace in the first picture.
When comparing with the picture below, it doesn't seem to be the Russian sapphires, though she seems to be wearing the earrings. The centrepiece also looks as though it could be the matching brooch, though the surrounding rounds don't appear to be the same size as the Russian sapphires so I'm not certain.
It may well be the very same, just altered but if so, why wouldn't they have kept it that way. It looks much better than the current design.
Thoughts?
