From the same thread Dowager started 'next door'. After viewing the photos posted by Dawn, I have a question about the picture of young Princess Elizabeth wearing a white cape. The comment at the photo (mid way down the page) is "FROM BEING A LITTLE PRINCESS TO THE QUEEN OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND QUEEN ELIZABETH II".

What is on the future queen's young head? Are there other photos of this occasion where her head piece is more visable? It looks like a wedding with all the flowers. We've done young Elizabeth jewelry posts before but I've never seen this "formal attire" event.
Thank you. I just wonder is the headpiece a tiara?
