This necklace was purchased for Princess Anne by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, as a present to mark a certain important occasion.
(I do not have the reference to hand to confirm).
It was not made from Queen Alexandra's collier.
It is just a similar style, as were many many jewels made in the belle époque era.
