Princess Margaret could well owned more than one Diamond Riviere, also no doubt Lady Sarah received certain bequests from her grandmother Queen Elizabeth; providing her with a full jewellery box.

The other necklace Lady Sarah wears, the alternating diamond and pearl necklace was a favourite of Queen Mary, who wore it constantly. It was bequeathed to Princess Margaret in 1953, and has since passed to Lady Sarah.
