Ouch! I am happy I am not the creater of the design or the jeweler reading this...
Personally, i am waiting to see it worn by Princess Marie... We could all be surprised!! I have seen many tiaras and they look very different when worn. And Princess Marie has the righ hair and usually the right hairdoo for tiaras... Suspens...lol...

: As before, I think this is a very poorly cheap
: looking piece inasmuch as the technical
: skills needed to create this piece could
: have been matched if not bettered by any
: entry level Jewellery student or hobbyist.
: The Lilies are clumsy in their execution,
: and amethyst beads irrelevant. Whilst I hope
: that a new style and form of tiara develops
: to add a new angle to the historic
: collections of these Royal Houses, so that
: in the future something representative of
: the early 21st century is incorporated
: therein, I wish it be handled in a more
: appropriate fashion.

: I'm all for these modern artisinal tiaras.
: One edit I would make is to remove the
: string of amethyst beads from the base. It
: makes it look like something from a
: children's party. Without those, it would
: be something mysterious and beautiful, much
: like the Midnight, and lovely on Marie's
: dark hair.

: I actually wonder why Princess Marie didn't
: debut her new tiara (and matching earrings
: which apparently form a set - see below) at
: the state banquet for the Chinese President;
: with everyone else choosing their less grand
: jewelry, it would have been a fitting
: occasion to do so.

: Ah ok, I searched the archive to see if this
: was already posted but couldn't find
: anything on it.
