Name tags are worn by everyone in the Royal Enclosure at Royal Ascot, the only exception is The Queen; some ladies chose to pin them to their clutch bags, yet they are nonetheless obligatory, it is more a badge of entry, showing that the wearer is entitled to be in the Royal Enclosure, than a name tag.
