I actually believe that this is a totally different brooch to the one described in Fields. This one does not have any pearls, nor is it a bouquet, it is more of a floral spray, what's more, the brooch described by Fields doesn't contain diamonds, just different coloured golds.
I believe this to be a completely different brooch, the origins of which are unknown, I have called this brooch 'The Queen's Amethyst Spray Brooch'.
I don't believe we have ever seen a picture of the Queen wearing the brooch described in Fields.
