A big thank you Nellie for the work in finding these stunning photos and sharing. To me, the Queen was at her most glittering on the 1954 tour, the likes of which we haven't really seen since. Don't get me wrong, HM is always gorgeous on formal occasions, but the gowns and jewels on the early tour were magnificently over the top. I mean that as a genuine compliment.
