I believe these are the two large solitaire diamond earrings that Queen Mary made in 1911 using two diamonds taken from the Coronation Necklace - thus I have named them 'The Coronation Solitaire Earrings'.
They are the largest of the Queen's pairs of diamond solitaire earrings. Worn rarely by The Queen. (She also has a number of other pairs, however they are hard to identify due to their similarity in size and style).
